Now 6/13/09 CO/TX/WY/NE

We're now chasing the newest tornado warned storm that is 5 miles north of Bennett CO right north of the Denver "KFTG" radar site. Hopefully once it moves away from the radar site the scans will look better. It's a nice looking supercell from the backside (west).

Jeff P. observed yet another tornado a few mins. ago sw of Richfield (Morton Co. KS). He said it's still a very healthy beast of a supercell.

Latest radar update shows a left mover rocketing north through Texas Co. OK and looks like the two supercells may collide here in the next 30 mins. Wonder what the net effect will be from this??

Yeah looks like that cell coming up NE from Guymon is going to run right into the dominant cell from CO. Should instensify everything but probably keep moving due E. Wow...

I remember the April 25 Enid, OK supercell had a left split run into it as well and the meso from the dominant cell basically occluding from what we could see on radar as the updraft and the meso from the left split became the dominant one. I wasn't chasing that cell but we were watching the coverage from our hotel room in Clinton that night and I remember Gary England mentioning that several times.

However I think the cell in Kansas is becoming more of a wind machine anyway so who knows.
