Tornado Watch until 9pm MDT for se WY and ne CO including the Denver metro area. A couple of weak cells west of Boulder are trying and failing to move off the foothills.

We are going to mosey on up and check out the north side of Denver to see what those cells are doing. This week has been crazy - with chase opportunities almost every day! One day it's north of town, the next it's south, then the next it's east. Looks like the best cell so far has gone up north of Cheyenne in southern Platte county. We're just going to stay in a place that has good road options going all directions today and not get too far away from the front range, unless something initiates further east then we'll blast down either I-70 or I-76. Hope to see and meet some of you out in the field today.

We are currently in Bennett waiting to see how things evolve. Until things start moving I would like to keep my north/south options available with such a large target area today. Looks like as soon as something starts going up near Denver the tops get sheared right off. Clear skies to the east of us, so that should help with the heating as well.

The storm just SW of the Valentine, NE area is increasing in organization over the last couple of scans with a tighter couplet, and a nice hook. The warning is also mentioning golf ball size hail and its nice and isolated... no idea if anyone is in the area.

We're currently driving on I-76 in heavy rain and off and on again marble sized hail betwixt Keensburg and Roggen in CO right now. Trying to get east of this storm but what for I'm not sure right now. My wife just asked if this is even worth it!!

Watching the same storm from just south of Wiggins. Is it worth getting onto I-76 to follow it?

BTW, the storm has a history of intense CGs. Just watched one destroy a transformer less than a mile away near Prospect Valley.

very fast convection occuring near AMA now. just issued a svr warning for it. went up extremely fast in about 3 scans.

Not a live chase......

After starting the day in Trinidad to Branson, CO I have watched a supercell mature following route 160 and am currently sitting in Kim, CO. 0-1km storm relative helicity values have increased to 150 m2s2

Jeff & Kathryn Piotrowski are on the Baca Co. tornadic supercell attm. Last report from Jeff a few mins. ago was that the circulation was tightening and a tornado looked imminent. Looks like the environment is quite favorable even as the supercell moves into extreme SW Kansas to maintain the strong rotation.

90dbz and this is from Pueblo....wow!! Monster hail and a very strong circulation northeast of Campo CO.

New report from Jeff P. was a solid tornado about 10 mins. ago southwest of Vilas in Baca Co. CO. He's repositioning to get up with it south of Stonington and on into Morton Co. KS.

Latest radar update shows that a serious RFD has just happened...and a tornado looks pretty imminent again as it moves towards the CO/KS stateline.
