OK so since I posted the thread that fired up the whole foum, I have found some things out...

Some of you chasers are definitely arrogant! It's true, it's true! LOL. (Joking, guys, don't get your dander up yet)

Most of you guys are really nice, though. I received more PMs than replies to the post, here and on Facebook. I have made new friends on FB, and had plenty of chasers tell me to come up and say "hello" if I see them out on a storm.

I met up with some that same day and was treated very nicely, while waiting for things to fire up. They even put up with my son's overabundance of questions.

Several have been extremely nice, and many have answered questions that I've had here on the threads in the past.

I do still have much to learn, but I have already learned a bunch thus far.

Thanks to those who have been kind, of which the number is higher than those who have been unkind.

Be Safe, Y'all!

EDIT: This thread was started because lots of people don't read past the first post, Just so y'all know!

Heh Heh, funny threads.

I am thankful to all the chasers who have advised and chatted over the years.
Mike H, Tony L, Amos M, Dan R, MikeDinGRI, Bret ? or someone from Akron.

I have found chasers to be excellent folks.

The twister sisters and others have let me look at the live data they had, when they had better data than I had.

Sometimes to chat are more appropriate than others. When you hit a storm and the cars clump together and the storm is slow moving there is time to talk. You meet the Australians, and the brits, and the locals. Very nice.

The chaser community attracts all types, and I have watched arrogant youngsters grow into reasonable chasers.

Once you get south of I70 and west or near I35.... well that is the arrogant competitive zone :-). Too many tubes, such easy terrain, they are the spoiled brats of the chase community ;-)

So head north or west into the upslope magic, or East into the jungle. The chasers there are more humble and friendly.

I am kidding somewhat.. but I know when I am driving through Nebraska or west kansas with good roads and no caravans covered with anemometers.. I am more relaxed. If I am trying to cross Oklahoma City in a chaser convergence... I am frustrated.
