*New Users. Meet and Greet Area*

Welcome to the forum Brian. As I'm sure you know, there is a lot of good information within the forum.

Thanks, Gerrit. Im really getting pumped about next years season! Im anxious to try out my new gear, and Video equipment....Hope to see ya out there sometime!

Given the overwhelming amount of new users, that so rightfully wish to introduce themselves, we would like to direct those introductions to this new users thread. This is a meet and greet area, so feel free to introduce yourself, and get acquainted with the forum!

Thanks! And welcome!!!

I'll give my belated intro.

I'm Aaron (as the user name specifies :P). I'm 22, and work at KGAN-TV channel 2 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I do production there, but I am the chase partner of Tim Jones (from www.extremewinds.net), who is one of the Meteorologists at the station.

I have been interested in storms ever since I got out of my fear of them after I came back to the states in 2000 (I was a USAF dependent, lived in Germany for 7 yaers). I didn't really start chasing until I settled down here in Iowa. I would use Wunderground for info the storms and just wait for the storms to come to me. Now that I have started chasing with Tim, we have all the proper tools at our disposal to get to the target areas and be ready when the time comes.

I do my own photography on the storms, I have a link below to my blog and photo gallery if anyone is interested! I will update them every week, as long as there is a storm on the way :D

I joined ST to meet other like me, and share my knowledge (to my best) about storms and discussions. I am sure a lot of the great members here will be able to give me some help if I get any questions!

New User saying Hello

Hi! I am Tena, and I am from West Central IL. Love storms! I think they are sexy! Powerful, beautiful. Of course, I haven't had my house blown to pieces either. I may feel differently if and when that happens.

I hope that I can get some great advice from some very experienced people. I am here to learn so that I can have some great experiences of my own; as safely as possible.

My husband and I are going on our very first storm chasing vacation next year so any and all advice is welcome!

Thanks for your time and I look forward to making new friends who share the same passions!

Hello everyone! My name is Chris from Franklinton, LA and I've always been fascinated by storms. I've been reading and studying as much as I can for the past year. I've been "lurking" around the forums now for awhile and thought it was time to introduce myself.

I'm always looking to learn more and hoping to chase this upcoming season for the first time ever. I look forward to meeting everyone here on Stormtrack and hopefully sharing my stories and pictures in time!

Howdy all. I'm Brody Flavin, I live in Newton, KS (about 30 mins north of Wichita on I135). I'm a 911 dispatcher for Harvey County (Newton) and try to help spot storms when I have the time. I'd like to start learning more about the weather and forecasting - if anyone has any tips on where to start, or if anyone in the Wichita area wants to meet up sometime, lemme know.

Thanks!
