• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

...USB aircard for AT&T. Mine died last week during the epic Nashville flooding and I am grandfathered in with the unlimited data plan, so if I upgrade my contract, I go capped at 5gb.

You always have the option to buy at no commitment pricing. That's where you just pay full retail pricing for the device and it doesn't involve anything with your account.

Best option is EBAY , Because it is a GSM device you do not have to worry about a clear ESN number as CDMA users do . Just plug your sim card in replacement device and you are set. Just check out the sellers feedback before buying.

Unless you're using it as your reg internet (24/7), there's no way you'll exceed this limit. We've been on this plan all season and have yet to put a dent in our allotted limit, including at-home use.

My card is almost always on and I have never exceeded the 5Gb limit.

I have an ATT 3G aircard that I am no longer using as I am now on Sprint. Also have a large mag mount antenna with the proper connections as well. PM if interested.

Wow...I go over my 5gb all the time with limited streaming. I go WAY over when streaming events like snow storms, while geocaching, or various news conferences and events. Of course I also stream with live audio, chat and high quality video as much as possible, via a internet based site which likely isn't as thrifty as the chase related stream sites.

I'm not sure...but I believe some carriers have open source type situations. I know that a buddy uses a sprint datacard (598U) on the verizon network. I guess that may not be likely with AT&T on a different system, but always checking out the full options is good when you need to keep an unlimited plan...which I highly recommend, especially as the need increases every year.
