I've been hearing rumors about this for quite some time, but it now appears there is scientific evidence that Sun activity has slowed to a level of interest. Even if this is partially true, the effect on global patterns may be interesting and obviously complex.

Incidentally, I was actually reading some articles on this subject earlier before coming upon this thread. It appears that much like the global warming debate, there are folks on very opposite sides of the fence as to the outcome.
