• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Introducing: Stormtrack Discord, the Online Forum Alternative for a New Generation of Weatherers

Are you still accepting people on Discord?
Hey Chris, yes we are! We had around 30 apps during the weekend weather so yours may be caught up in that bottleneck. That reminds me - thank you to the Discord volunteer staff for all you do! Y'all are awesome!

This may sound like a weird question, and it's overall not a huge deal, but I'm just weeks away from graduating from college and I'm curious if I pick "advanced" now if it'll be an issue to change my experience level to "meteorologist" in a few weeks. I'm not expecting anyone here to give me an issue, I'm referring more to the software side of things. Like I said, not a major problem, just something I got to thinking about while reading this thread.

Is Discord working for anyone?
For the past few days whenever I've tried going there, all I get is a blank page.
Already tried the easy stuff like rebooting/clearing browser cache etc, even tried 3 different browsers (PaleMoon, WaterFox, & FireFox ) .. all with the same result of just a blank page.

Its not just the Stormtrack server, but any of the few I've joined, and even the login page: discord.com/login
(note: I do have AdBlock & NoScript but neither shows anything blocked)

The desktop and mobile apps have been fine for me, but I just tried on the web version and I had no issue.

One thing I have started to notice is that Discord refuses to load for me over IPv6 no matter what access method I use, so it might be worth checking to see if you're trying to connect over IPv6 and if so try disabling it to see if it starts working for you.
