Very nice stuff, Stephen. I'm a big fan of B&W and think that storms are an excellent subject for the medium. I'm curious about your method of B&W conversion. Please feel free to PM me, if you don't feel it is appropriate here!

Finally got back out to the Norfolk Southern in Central Missouri the weekend I was trying to get to Rocky's picnic. Had a dickens of a time trying to get on the right side of the sun!
 
What is sitting on top of the conductor's side of the cab of the lead locomotive?

It's a light that is lit when the unit is being remote controlled (I had to look that up, too...)

BTW, I didn't know that NS ran in MO!

Yep, my dad and I chased NS and its predecessors, N&W and Wabash around St. Louis in the mid-60s. Their trackage: From Moberly, Mo., to: Kansas City, St. Louis and Decatur, IL.
