• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

This past year, me and the 4Runner went storm chasing. I made an incredible photograph on the trip, but softball sized hail caused $14,000 worth of damage.

Long story short, this very photograph has been selected into the top 10 of a very prestigious national photography competition. The first prize includes top of the line photography equipment which I desperately need to help jumpstart my career (I am 17 years old). It would be such a huge deal if I were to place highly in this competition. It is just incredible to me that the photograph I had been lamenting so much was selected for this competition.

This means so much to me you have NO idea!! Please, vote for Adam Adkins, "Green Supercell" in this photography competition. I am hoping for as many votes as possible, and be sure to select mine as the favorite at the end.

Please post to let me know that you voted! Thank you all just soooo much!!!

Voted for ya man, great photography! When was that supercell picture from? I witnessed near exactly the same scene on a supercell on June 11th near Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Produced this beautiful wall cloud picture:

Keep it up! Good luck!

Jason: Yes, it was that day! That was the most incredible storm I had ever seen - I had never really witnessed a true HP supercell. It was also a very scary experience. I was driving and then suddenly the windshield shattered from hail, glass was in my eyes, and I pulled over while the car was destroyed. Needless to say I have been forbidden to chase with one of my parents' vehicles ever again. And it wiped out 100% of my cash. But ya, and you also got a great shot from that day I see!
