• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I want to try something new here.... Maybe a game where someone will hop on the next go around. What I want to do (especially for the more novice chasers) is to get everyone involved where people may feel intimidated to participate in a chase case or otherwise.

My goal is to provide you anywhere between 3 to 5 hints of a particular event in the history of weather records. Let's see who can guess the day/event/etc first and hopefully that person will continue the train! If nobody can get it within a reasonable amount of time, then more obvious hints will be provided.

Let me get the ball rolling!

* An outbreak featuring over 90 tornado reports.
* An outbreak that features amazing video from a police dash cam
* A movie theater full of customers
* Not very many chaser videos or accounts
* "Leaves"

November 10, 2002... movie theater struck in Van Wert, OH... great police dash cam video, 93 tornado reports...

May 10, 2003 had 93 reports as well and some incredible police dash cam video, not sure if a movie theater was hit that night though.

I see Skip edited his post! He got it right.

"Leaves" hint was meant to symbolize the video of the homeowners shooting the tornado passing nearby with all the leaves from their trees falling and getting inhaled toward the tornado (not be mistaken with the Iowa tornado also in November of 2005)

Skip or Clarence... the floor is yours

Alright here's the next one:

* Preliminary rating of F5 but demoted to F4
* Parts of the 24 mile path were over large bodies of water
* At least three fatalities, and dozens of injuries

Good pick! I am not going to disclose it as I want to see how many others can get this tornado! Remember it could be anything weather. Tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, severe thunderstorms, winter weather!
