Help Needed

Dick

Please pass on my condolenses to Darin and Partner, I have had the fortune of meeting you guys just 2 hours b4 Greensburg on the 4th May 2007 at St John! If you remember we were the Uk Group that were chatting to you and I was struck by how friendly you and Darin were! Will try to get something sorted in way of a donation at the end of the month when I get paid.

Please wish them well.

Count me in, too. Please note Dick, I've sent you an email via S.Track. But forgot to mention the need for their direct address to send a check. (If available). Plus....do they still need clothing at this point?? Thanks much, Joel Ewing / Tucson

Words can't describe how thankful Lexy and I are for you all right now.

The past few days have undoubtedly been some of the toughest of our lives but the support we have received in all forms has left us pretty much speechless. It's been so hard to figure out how to express our gratitude towards you all because words on the internet can't show how much we truly appreciate everyone's support.

Even though a lot of bad has come from this experience...so so many great things have come out of it as well so far and it's those things that have kept us going during these past few days. Words of encouragement have been absolutely priceless to us in trying to gather ourselves to move forward and I never realized how much one's morale can be boosted by someone saying a few words until you you're in a position where those words mean everything to you.

We hopefully will be able to get into our apartment tomorrow and see what's salvageable and that should really help us get a grasp on what our next steps will be.

We only ask that you that if you provide anything like donations, clothing, etc. that you please take care of your families and yourselves first and don't put yourselves in a bad position by going out of your way to help us. We have so many people to thank that it's almost overwhelming right now but in due time we will thank each of you that have helped us out...hopefully in person under a big spinning supercell!

Again, thank you so much for everything. You never fully realize how much value there is in a great community like Stormtrack until you need support and the support you have given us in our time of need is something that we will cherish forever.

Darin and Lexy

Dick: Thanks for coordinating this and let me add my best wishes for Darin and Lexi. Having a career in the EMS/Fire/Rescue services, I have seen the devastation that fire can cause. Please send me an address so I can send a check direct.

To Darin and Lexi: this too shall pass!

I sent a small donation via Paypal. Best wishes to Darin and Lexi. This situation should serve a reminder to the rest of us that we are not immune to disaster. Prior to buying a home I had a $20K or $30k renters policy through State Farm that only cost about $8/month. I thought I would need it back in Lincoln when I arrived home to fire trucks and fire alarm. Was lucky to just have some smoldering plastic due to some faulty furnace wiring in my unit instead of a growing flame.

Dear all

I am saddened to hear about this fire it is always unfortunate when this or something like this happens to good people :( I will try to donate if I can because I belive that as a Storm Chasing community that we should "Take care of our own" and I would encourage everyone to donate if they are able to as I am sure that they can use all the help that they can get right now and my thoughts and prayers are with them and dick please keep us informed ! ! !.
