Can someone please post a link to their preferred placefile that shows major hwy icons on the map? I searched the forum archives and the links I found were dead.

Hey Mike and whoever else wants the placefile,

I have an extensive road sign placefile that I have worked on for a number of years. It includes Interstate, US, and State highway signs in MT, ND, SD, MN, WI, UP of MI, WY, NE, IA, IL, IN, CO, KS, MO, NM, TX, OK, and AR. The work was mainly done from 2005 to 2009 or so, so there may be incorrect placements of signs where states have reassigned numbers to stretches of roads or reconstruction has shifted the road bed (usually multi-lane bypasses around cities). You can edit the placefile to correct any problems.

Put all 4 files in the same folder on your computer. For the placefile to work you will have to change the file path designation for the "iconfile" settings, near the top of the text file, to those of your 3 image files, respectively.
