• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Greetings from Wisconsin.

Nathan Elsner

Hello all.

My name is Nate Elsner and I hail from and live in Southeastern Wisconsin.

I have always been fascinated with weather. All through my youth when everyone would run for cover from storms, I would be the weird kid sitting on the porch, watching and listening to Mother Nature put on her show. Plus I'm an avid fisherman. If you want to be any good at that sport you need to have one eye on the weather all of the time. Not only in forecasting, but for safety on the water. Where I fish the weather can switch on a dime and you can find oneself up "the proverbial creek" in a big hurry.

I'm a spotter(ducks). Well, hopefully more like an intercept/chaser/spotter.

2008 will be my first year out in the field. Spent the last year in "sponge mode" soaking things up and learning whatever I can to keep myself safe, and have hopefully gleaned enough to have some rough idea of what is happening weather wise. Honestly I hope to never get out of "sponge mode" because there is always more to learn.

I've done a bit of graphics work for MASA (Milwaukee Area Skywarn Association)which can be viewed on their website.
My ham callsign is: KC9LYY

I've been lurking here since last April reading every thread that I can. This is a tremendous educational resource in my opinion.

Normally I'm pretty quiet on any forum I participate in. Most certainly I'm quiet on any forum that has an educational aspect to it. I keep my mouth shut (ears and eyes open) unless I have something to contribute or a question that I need assistance with. So my post count may be low for quite a while.

Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this forum.

Welcome to StormTrack Nathan. This forum is a great place to learn everything there is to know about weather and chasing. Feel free to chime in and ask questions if need be. It's ok if your posts are low because what's important is post quality, not quantity.

Hi Nathan- I'm just below the cheddar curtain and chase into WI a fair amount.
Glad you stepped from the lurker shadows.
PM if there's anything you need or want to chase!

It's good to see some folks from around Southern Wisconsin.

I too have been visiting the forums for sometime and took the
plunge just the other day and joined.

I live North of Madison and have been chasing/tracking/spotting storms
since I was 16. (wow I am getting old)

I know MASA well and am on the Board of Advisors. Say hello
to Skip V. for me.

Hope we have an active storm season this year. Last year was sort
of a bust but this year WI got off to a bang with an EF3 in January.

If you are ever in the Dane, Rock or Iowa county area feel free to give
me a yell on the 444.375. Would be more then happy to NowCast
for you.

Heres to higher temps and dewpoints!:D

Hi Tim.

Just now saw your reply. I figured the thread was over after a couple months of drought. Thanks for the offer of Nowcasting. I'll do just that when I'm over in that area.

Funny thing. I recognize your hamcall from the INFLOW site. I suppose I should register there too?

(And a heartfelt albeit belated thanks for the welcome from everyone else)
