• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

For anyone who chases alone such as myself, you know how much of a pain it can be constantly reaching over and using the touchpad on your laptop to navigate. NewEgg has a wireless air mouse available for $39.99 with a $39.99 rebate making your cost $0. Thought this might be a great investment for those solo chasers or anyone else who might need one.

Gyration has been around a long time and they make good quality stuff. Plus they are free so hard to pass up.

The $140+ is probably due to the fact that those are new, while these are "recerts". In any case I did order one up, shipping was $5.99 and it should be here Wednesday so I'll give a quick review before the rebate runs out.

Sorta in the same department, I also chase alone sometimes. Windows vista and on has a voice recognition program that you can set up to understand alot of commands. So if you use a micrphone and experiment with it a few times. You can run all you programs using voice commands. Pretty neat

Something to think about... I use a handheld trackball mouse for chasing. Not wireless, but you can find one for about ~$20. I've been happy with it.

The one I bought is discontinued, but they look like this...

Got my air mouse today and have been using it to control the computer with my new hard drive in it. My display is my TV at 42" and this thing is not that easy to control sometimes. I can see how it would be useful for presentations or when you're lazy and on the couch, but not for chasing. You'd have to have buttons on your screen the size of a barn to do well while you're driving about.

Mike Bishop uses a trackball in his vehicle and it's very useful. We've lost the ball a time or two, *snicker*, but over all it works very well by being fast to use and stationary.
