• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Favorite/most memorable tornado you have personally seen in each EF rating

Something like this - harder to pick weak ones!

EF-0: S of Pratt, KS, May 26th 2008
EF-1: East of Pratt, KS, May 26th 2008
EF-2: Campo, May 31st 2010
EF-3: El Reno, OK, May 31st 2013
EF-4: Quinter, KS, May 23rd 2008 (or Bennington 1 if you think it should be!)
EF-5: Not yet (well, El Reno, really!)

I like this idea. I have a spreadsheet of all the tornadoes I've seen, but I never finished filling out the EF-scales. Here it goes:

EF-0: Beltrami, MN, August 28th, 2016 (link)
EF-1: Lee's Summit, MO, July 1st, 2015 (link)
EF-2: Grover, CO, June 12th, 2017 (link)
EF-3: Minneola, KS, May 24th, 2016 (link)
EF-4: Alpena, SD, June 18th, 2014 (link)

Factors considered included how close I got, how unique the tornado was and any interesting notes. For the latter, the Beltrami tornado was the first tornado I saw in Minnesota, while the Lee's Summit tornado is the only tornado I've seen in Missouri so far in my career. Of these tornadoes list above, those two were the briefest, with the Lee's Summit tornado barely being visible. Most of the EF-1s from my collection were very brief and/or hard to see. Now that I think about it, the Grover, CO tornado and the Alpena, SD tornado were also the only tornadoes I've seen in Colorado and South Dakota...
