• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Wow, what a beautiful tornado. Probably one of the most photogenic tornadoes I've seen. Great lighting to it and all.

That was one of the most beautiful tornadoes tornadoes that I have seen. Doesn't even look real. I obtained a different view (donation from a local resident) for Storms of 2007. There are a number of videos of the tornado on YouTube. Amazing.

What a night that was. Cells just exploded right around supper time. The cap won the battle much of the afternoon but a lake breeze boundary was huge in finally getting storms to initiate.

One thing I also love about this video is seeing a second tornado developing off in the distance to the southwest. You can see the wall cloud clearly in the backdrop as they film the tornado over Elie. Very cool event that I will never forget..

Neat footage. What I've been wondering about for a while is why people, including chasers, don't stop to film tornadoes. Much of the video is from the inside of vehicles, where frequently the autofocus is on and I get a good look at raindrops on the windshield, or the pillars, or the gadgets on the dash.

Here's a case in point. Wouldn't you want to stop and look at this phenomenon? They just past it, like they had someplace better to be, or tornadoes were an everyday occurance. I see this time and again. Don't get it.

And Hey, how about that AWSOME weather coverage on the radio?! I've been in radio for 28 years as an on air talent, and I can not IMAGINE saying, "Power 97 ROCKIN you all day with the phrase that pays! Gettin some calls about a tornado, so watch out for that, BUT in the mean time, lets get down to the bowling alley with the Power 97 mobile rockin unit for more bumper sticker giveaways!!!!".
