Similar mentoring forums I've been in have often assigned or designated areas of expertise to participants. While I have opinions and observations about some things I'm certainly not the best one to give them. My areas of relative expertise are in the zen of model interpretation, traffic and transportation issues, data archiving, and southwest US weather.

That listing of topic ideas is a good one so (1) those who have questions can know the target question range ; (2) where the questions would go (possibly overlapping ); (3) would help the answerers targeted to people who ask questions

will there be several parts of the this thread or just one (I have not look elsewhere on this thread - sorry about duplication)

Just FYI, as soon as I can get a little time, I will get everyone here added to the area. I only have a passing moment right now. (Unless Tim gets to it first.)
 
I'm no expert, but I know enough about meteorology and chasing to help out answering questions from time to time, so I'd like to be added too.
