Storm chasers observing the August 21 eclipse: Here's your chance to do citizen science with your photography gear. The Eclipse Megamovie Project is still seeking volunteers to point their telephoto lenses at the eclipse during totality. Bracketed, time-stamped imagery will be uploaded for stitching into a scientifically useful movie documenting totality from coast to coast. I've signed up my 400mm zoom and will be doing some practice runs over the next several weeks.
