Earliest Heat Advisory?

Just noticed the "Heat Advisory" posted by the San Francisco NWS office for temps potentially topping 100 degrees. Seems a bit early being it's only mid-April.

Does anyone have access to records of the earliest heat-related advisories issues by the NWS?

May take me a little bit, but there's a guy I'm sure knows the answer to that question.

If I were to guess the location it would be any of the following:
South Florida, Miami-Dade or Monroe Counties.
Death Valley California area
Someplace in Arizona in the desert Southwest.

Yes, It was defintely pretty hot today. Supposed to be even hotter tomorrow. It got to 85 degees today in Silicon Vally (Santa Clara, CA). Although that number doesn't seem too hot, it is if it happens after relatively milder temperatures and will be the first hot day of the year. Tomorrow is going to be a LONG day - I guess! It is supposed to be 96F degrees tomorrow.
I'll report tomorrow...

At noon today, the temp reached to 89 degrees F. Relative Humidity is around 50%. It will probably reach the predicted 96 degrees F before the day is done - at this rate...
I cannot recall - in all of the last 40 years of living here - heat this early in Spring.
Air conditioners are on everywhere, and I'm expecting a 'power brownout' within the next two hours or so. To think that I'm going to drive S down to Morgan Hill CA - where the temps are expected to be 4-6 degree F hotter to buy something. Yeow!
Oh well; It really means that I will just have to get used to the heat earlier this year is all.
I know some parts of the country are still pretty cold.
Don't fret; warmer days are coming!

Tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat of today.
Oh, boss!
I keep telling myself that I need to get acclimated to the heat asap. But it is a lot to do. Cold sodas and a wet towel on my neck is working. Or I can go back into the house where the air conditioning is. But I'm sticking it out in the garage where my computer and my Ham/CB gear is. So long as I don't move around much - it is OK.

Rain is predicted on Friday; wondering if it may be a cold air/warm air clash. And maybe even - and dare I say it - a thunderstorm?!?

Anyone looked at the possibilities on the NAM for the West Coast??
A rare thing out here is a decent thunderstorm - I sure would like to see it and report it...

Rob,

This is an unusual pattern in that our temperatures are lower than yours. I live about 30 miles E of Sacramento in the foothills and we're usually 5 to 15 degrees warmer.

If I'm not mistaken, there appeared to be some form of a clockwise circulation on today's convective outlook. While not tornadic, the circulation may be drawing the heated, high desert air across the valley into the SV.

Please don't blast me for my amateurish attempt to explain the cause of the heat differential. :)

I wouldn't dream of it.
Thanks for the input...

Down here in Southern California temps were in upper 90's and low 100's, even right at the beaches, which is rare in of itself at the beaches even during summer. Saw a mesonet station in Monrovia reporting 108F...ouch!
