Digital Camera Airport Question

The last time I went through an airport I was using a film camera and was aware of the problems film has with the airport scanners. I know digital is different, however are they airport scan safe? I just have to go through an airport tommorow and am always paranoid when it comes to my camera.

Yes. Digital cameras, flash, and magnetic media have been tested and reported to be 100% safe for both checked and carry-on scanners. Not to worry AFAIK.

Ditto to what he said, though I wouldn't put it in the checked baggage if I were you, unless you have one of those Pelican cases that you can more or less dropkick off the empire state building without harming your stuff. The baggage handlers aren't the gentlest sort.
