DeLorme Street Atlas Options?

I recently had to replace the hard disk in my chase laptop. I've reprogrammed just about everything so far. Windows Xp SP3, GR3, and the other needs: shockwave, reader, java, picasa, firefox, gmail, and so on. Found the serial emulator for the GPS unit; but not the atlas.

Works better than new - using a Hitachi hard drive instead of the stock Fujitsu drive. Same price too...

I am only shy one piece of software. With the exception of DeLorme's Street Atlas 2008 I am done reprogramming - because like a dummy - I left that disk at home back in CA. Didn't foresee losing my hard drive. Murphy's law!

Not that I use Street Atlas a lot; but it has proved to be helpful when I've gotten lost a few times...

Since I am a cheap guy; is there any other software that is available that doesn't cost anything. Or - is there some software available that works better than the DeLorme software and utilizes the GPS unit? Appreciate any help and ideas that any might have.
Thanks!

Not sure if you're using Franson's GPSgate or not, but here's a way to use Google Maps with your GPS unit: http://franson.com/gpsgate/guide.asp?section=Google_Maps_GPS_200

This might be the best, cheap solution. The Franson GpsGate Express allows for 2 simultaneous GPS functions for $12.95 for one computer. This will allow for a GPS to be used on GR3 and GoogleEarth (for FireFox and IE).
Cool Beans!
Thanks!
