• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

That means nobody has volunteered to host it. You can't listen to an online scanner with any app if there isn't someone streaming it to begin with.

Tonight, since we actually have weather to look at :) I pulled up the app and it was MIA, not sure what happened but it was gone. lol. I went through and removed other apps and this was not one of them. but the phone said it was installed and such. so whatever, i uninstalled and reinstalled.

Interestingly enough tonight was the first time i've been able tp pull radar data, So far I'm diggin this app :) I've managed to have it crash a few times but thats to be expected in the world of beta.

Also something to note Mike, is that when I hit the home button to go back to the main screen and want to go back into SC it opens a new instance and i assume kills the other once i hit the home button. :)

Keep us up on updates Mike. Thanks!

Thanks for the update im testing it right now on the samsung galxy tab it scales well on the build i am using waning polygons still need fixed and colors are flakky on bv and srv we also now have a server set up in chicago so when we get a few more things sorted out i will update the version in the market

New server load time about 10 sec instead of 30-45

Thanks for all the downlads and please remember to rate the app so others know its wort trying out

Mike

Mike. Sounds good! You mention the server up there in Chicago which leads me and probably others to a question for support in future versions for....

Allison House? :D

Also I agree with others on having an option for a more basic map in some future version. Though that sounds like a potential issue if your using their GPS tracking stuff. hmmmm. :)

We have a lot of issues to fix before that would be considered i need a fully functional app by spring so I can chase using only android devices and proove my apps with some beautiful tornadoes,

thanks
Mike

This has been happening on my DX when I power it down and turn it back on. Its like it doesnt load some of the icons but they are still there.

If I go to the market, select downloads, scroll down and find the app is allows me to open it. It just doesnt show the icon on my phone. If I power it down and turn it back on then they will show up.

I thought I lost my Angry Birds game over the weekend and was flippin out. lol

I havent had an issue with Storm Chaser other than the few forced closes Ive found.

Oh boy.
Mike? I have 4 of your apps installed and my phone rebooted tonight (unsure as to why however) and now I can't use any of them. Any ideas on why that would be?

I get the green android picture and when i open any of them it just force closes.

Also I tried to re-download it, and its like,.... gone from the market? :(

Thanks.

The radar app is currently not in the market.
Long story short the version in the market needs to be updated to the current servers.
anybody who has paid for the app and needs the updated version before It gets pushed to android market shoot me a PM or email [email protected] and I will send you the link.

For more information you can check out Android Weather

Should be back tomorrow or Saturday I just have to change the version when I get the new code from the developer.
