• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Well let me begin by thanking everybody for the publicity. When this app does come out there will be 100000 references to it on the internet ;) We are currently looking into the possibility of a option for GIS mapping toggle aka would have GIS maps and Google maps. As to whether this comes to be or not is really going to depend on the cost change. To be completely up front and transparent I have invest numerous hours and over $5,000 Into the development of this application. This is because I believe there is market out there of people who need a good solid radar app for there Android phones/Tablets. That being said I am truly behind my products and the Development team I am working with. So once again I ask everybody to please consider chilling out until they have something in there hands they can complain about. Suggestions are welcome complaints about something you have not had the privilege to play with is not.

Nice update. I, for one, appreciate regular updates on an application in active development. Coming along quite nicely, great work!

HAHA I like that update Mike. Looks good so far.

I think a suggestion from my end would be to make the radar circles smaller so they take up less space (maybe like the look of the GPS location circle but a different color?). Just a thought is all. :)

Looking very much forward to this thing.

Also, as an aside, I imagine nature being nature especially as winter approaches - is the lack of stormage going to hinder the progress of the app since there may not be a good number of storm situations to properly test?

That's true but it surely would be sweet to have it for winter I wouldn't mind trying it out in a blizzard. I'll be driving to the slopes for sure that day but hey none the less :)

Mikes App is published!!! Beta at this time until servers are moved over till the new ones!! Everyone using it here at National Weather Festival

Look for "storm chaser" in the market.

I bought the app - but when I start the program it just shuts itself down. I hit START - then it goes to a screen that is white/gray on bottom with reflectivity colors on top. The loading spiral at the top spins around once or so and then the program shuts down and returns me to my normal phone view home screen.

Its running stable on my moto Droid with no force closes so far. Obviously not much weather to try it out on but all radar sites I've tried are pulling up. Good start so far!
