Bad buoy

This buoy has been showing as sustained wind of 272.0 Knots since this morning:

I would assume that this is wrong.

What a strange number to get stuck at. One would think it would stick at $FF in hexadecimal, which might equal 255 kt or 255 in some other unit (yielding 496 kt, 222 kt, or 138 kt). I guess reading the anemometer electronics may not really be that straightforward.
