This is just a formal notice to everyone that the official site rules, available here on the FAQs/Rules page, have been modified to include the following addendum:

9. Account removal. Users who elect to quit Stormtrack must do so by ceasing use of Stormtrack and exercising personal restraint to avoid revisiting the website. The staff is not obligated to assist in this by deleting accounts, doing database editing, or other administrative work. You can sabotage your own login by visiting your edit e-mail & password page and typing random characters into the "new password" field, copying this to the "confirm password" line, and entering a fake e-mail address -- bear in mind this is irreversible since we are unable to authenticate anyone trying to get back in. All messages posted on this site remain licensed for our use and will not be deleted, as this adversely affects the continuity of threads and the quality of the site.

This addendum is effective as of late last week.

I figured I'd post a quick note, if no one had noticed, that more verbiage changes were made to almost all of the FAQs/Rules by the site administrator effective as of yesterday. This did not include any major additions or deletions to those site rules and guidelines which were already in existence, but previously more ambiguous terminology was removed, altered, refined and/or clarified to shore up some issues that had arisen with the verbiage prior to these revisions, making the rules less complicated and more readable for Stormtrack's user base.
