• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

A incredible survival story from Parkersburg

I work at a Pizza Ranch in Newton and I heard a true story from the owner about the Pizza Ranch that was hit by the Parkersburg EF5 while I was eating dinner with Dennis Sherrod.

There was about 16 employees at the Pizza Ranch when it was hit by the monster EF5. They heard the tornado coming and ran for the womens bathroom. The next thing they know the tornado is ontop of the building. They see the wall to the west (I think) in the womens bathroom moving constantly and fear it is about to give way and come down ontop of them. They all put thier hands up against the wall to try and hold it in place. Soon the noise is over and the tornado has passed. The wall is still standing and the 16 employees survived. They looked behind them to see the wall behind them was gone and so was everything else. Nothing was left of the building but rubble. All that was left was that wall and those 16 employees. It is a miracle they survived and the lord was surely watching over them when that tornado hit.

I thought that survival story was incredible and reminds us just how dangerous a EF5 tornado realy is.

Wow, that'd be an incredible experience.

Were some of the 16 people customers? 16 employees sound like an awful lot with no customers lol.

It is a truly amazing story of survival for the 16 people involved who were gathered together. For the restaurant to be so totally destroyed and no one sustained any major injuries is truly a great survival story. I remember seeing a picture in the news somewhere that showed the restaurant and it was almost completely flattened.
