A tornado watch has been issued for portions of Wisconsin and an MD is currently placed over a large part of central and eastern Iowa for the possibility that a severe thunderstorm watch. A line of thunderstorms is rapidly developing to my west and north with severe thunderstorm warnings posted over extreme southeast MN! I will probably be intercepting strong to possibly severe thunderstorms (a squalline type event) in the next hour or 2, hopefully this helps me a little with my SDS lol).

Wow, it's amazing what a cold front can do to some very stable air. Such narrow axes of weak CAPE and moisture convergence with some very strong frontal forcing. I really don't see too many tornadoes coming out of this, but that still a pretty cool-looking squall line. And it's fast too, there and gone within 20 minutes. Maybe some supercells will develop in WI ahead of the line, otherwise look for some brief, but fierce winds and maybe some hail out of this barrage. I can only hope to capture this line moving my way after dark, it likely won't be severe anymore though.
