• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Its 300pm now. About 20 min ago I was on the S side of ICT and observed a rotating wall cloud with rising motion while this storm was developing near the Derby area. Called someone who works 2 mi NE of where I observed the wall cloud and they were seeing the roation as well. Ive seen hundreds of wall clouds before so I know what I was seeing. No warning on this storm so dont know exactly whats going on but I know what I saw. Just got home saw the setup and so im left guessing. Perhaps a brief spin up on an OFB i dont know but this storm was definetly rotating while it was developing. Just have to watch it and see im not going to pursue this storm due to the setup up and gas prices but will keep a close eye on it from home. I know ill hear about this from some of you that this is just some hyped up bogus report but im not the only one who observed this event. I feel lucky I got to see this happen today and am glad nothing else happened since this occured near populated areas :)

Might add MO to the heading. Tornado sirens in Sringfield have been going off with reports of a funnel around I-44 mile marker 93, I believe. We had strong winds, roof collapsed on a business at 65 highway and Division (Sofa Mart), up to golf ball size hail reported. Also some reports of 'twisted' trees in some area called Cooper Estates.

My part of Springfield had high winds and heavy rain, but that's about it. The wall cloud would have been to my East by just a couple of miles. I can still hear sirens going off on occasion with a funnel cloud reported to my SE. If my car were running I would be out. Sorry that you guys have to read second hand reports on this.

Check the radar in the texas panhandle and watch the cell approaching amarillo and the radar sight there. At one point it looks like a mini hurricane.

I was outside in Rose Hill at that time. I didn't see the wall cloud coming from Derby unless the rain wrapped it up or it went south of us. Now north of Andover there are reports of a telephone pole on a house and metal outbuilding destroyed with 1.75" hail in Towanda.

Edit- Now reports of Benton with trees down and building damage, 20 poles down north of El Dorado. This is all in line with each other but it looks too far north to be from your wall cloud that might of spun up.

Need to add TX to this as well. Nasty cell located just over Amarillo that is now Tornado warned. It does look like a little mini hurricane.

That cell appears to be splitting and now there are two cells further south and east with classic TVS signatures. True envy to anyone chasing in the texas panhandle area today, probably tube heaven.
