Well it looks like we have our first confirmed tornado and possibly 2.

The confirmed one is 2 m west of lock springs in Davies County, MO where trained spotters reported a funnel half way to the ground along with tree damage and earlier there were reports of funnels and power polls being knocked down with this same cell in the same county. Currently it looks as if Utica, Mo and areas just east of it on Hwy US36 will be effected very shortly.

The cell in Caldwell County, MO also seems to be getting its act together and if it can turn slightly to the right I'm sure we shall see it follow suit of the Davies County storm (which is now in Livingston County).

Elsewhere not much has happened (as if you were not already painfully aware of that) across the two states as the cap seems to be holding stout and the over all lack of quality forcing is putting a major hamper on today's storm initiation.

just as soon as I posted earlier bout the TCU here around joplin mo I watched the cap smash them like whack a mole

Those where on that weak boundary that passed over me and while it gave a limited amount of forcing to push those up the updrafts got toppled over by the shear and the strong cap took the wind out of them. (pun not intended)

Nice hook and TVS WSW of Carrolton, Mo.

65dbZ approaching K-177 south of MHK.

Mike, that hook was right on, I never did see anything go to the ground. Everything was rotating but never really got it together there.
