5/23/08 NOW: KS/NE/CO/OK/WY/SD

8:27pm: Large and dangerous tornado on the ground 3 miles SW of Greensburg. It looked like it weakened a bit but i guess a wedge is still on the ground. Too bad. Still keeping a good thought for the folks in Greensburg.

Certainly brings back sobering memories...... Hopefully will not hear of major damage.

The tornado is reported to have lifted over Greensburg.
Thank god.

KOCO is unfortunately showing pictures of significantly-damaged homes east of Ft Supply; initially reported that people were trapped, but they apparently have since been rescued. That storm appears to be getting better organized.

Ellis is about to get hit by two tornadoes within 20-30 minutes

I sure hope that they still have electricity to warn them of the second tornado.

Border-to-border squall line in wrn KS -- about a county and a half behind the supercells along the dl. There should be some significant wind damage with that, not to mention torrential rainfall.

EDIT: 80/65 in Slapout, 79/39 in Beaver per mesonet.
