5/21/2010 NOW: CO/KS/TX/OK/NE/WY

Storms in SE Wyoming finally getting their acts together. One in particular interest is the cell NW of Wheatland, WY. Nice shape on radar and quick intensification as it enters very favorable enviornment to its E and NE.

Well, Colorado never got going. I suppose it was because of a CAP that never eroded. And I was here along the front range all day, and it seemed really dry to me. Dew points dropped about 15 degrees into the 30s over the coarse of the day. I would love to have some more insight as well as far as why nothing initiated in Colorado today!

Supercell WNW of Silverton tracking ENE at 20mph, hook should track over HWY 207 by 7:45-7:50pm, 5-6 miles north of HWY 86 which is the HWY running through Silverton. Weathertap radar estimating 4.00 inch hail so a core punch could be dicey...TVS marker just displayed at 7:27pm

Looks like a pretty decent hail core on the Ward Co. storm with a 2 inch hail marker on GR, not seeing a real hook though.....I kind of see what your referring to though once I "unsmooth" the radar image.

Dont think the supercell near Silverton should be tor warned given the T-Td spreads in the area but probably has one heckuva hail core with it and a really nice V-notch. Looks to have a smaller cell coming up into it from the southwest and going to interact with it. Left split from it now up southeast of Claude getting its act together with big hail in it as wel.

Supercell near Silverton now moving almost due east at 15-20 just on the north side of HWY 86. Hook not as well defined, but still an impressive hail core and overall structure. David Drummond and Kris Hair are all over west of Silverton...so good luck guys! 7:48pm

Nice cell merger as it just sucked that thing in. Alot better then whats going on up here in the northern target as we are not on the WY/NE supercell.
