Here is an amazing video of a tornado that tracked near Yanush Oklahoma on May 10. If I'm correlating it right with the storm survey, this tornado was rated EF-2, with a path length of 22 miles and a max width of 1/3 mile... and was produced by the middle of the three big supercells in southeastern Oklahoma that late afternoon. I'm wondering if it didn't hit much (given the modest rating), as the motions look rather violent... at times reminiscent of the 6/23/98 "crazy farmer" vid.

Did any chasers manage a view of this beast given the bad roads/terrain? I had an excuse for missing it... I was driving in circles in western Arkansas.

WOW!!! I just now noticed that you posted this and I'm glad I went back and found it cause I've been looking for ANYONE with footage of this thing. Yes I caught the end of this monster as it passed just north and east of Yanush, OK but I didn't get any pics cause I was seconds away from getting blasted by the hail core dropping down from the north. I already posted this once in the reports thread, but I started just south of McAlester, but because of the horrible road network I missed that tornado, which was a shame because it otherwise would've been an easy score given my initial target, and while everyone else stayed north near Wilburton, I hauled south as new storms were developing down that way. As I was weaving in and out of the hills on highway 2 just northeast of Yanush, I could see brief glimpses of this monster, then when I finally came out of the mountains and hit 63 east toward Talihina I had a great view of it to my west and it was indeed a beast. The only road option I had was east to Talihina at this point so that's the way I was quickly heading to try to stay in front of the storm quickly dropping down on me. I had no signal for internet on my blackberry for 20-25 minutes at this point, I just knew I had to haul east cause I was in a bad spot. Finally hit heavy rain a few miles out from Talihina and as I was pushing through it, out came a long slender tornado about 1/4-1/2 mile north of highway 63. Got into the town of Talihina and there was debris falling out of the sky, mainly in the form of tree limbs. Really there was only 1 road out there anyone could have been on to view any of this, and I never saw any other chasers. I didn't get to sit and watch it long because of fast storm motions that day, but in addition to that wedge there were other rainwrapped tornadoes back to the east. The Yanush tornado had violent motion to it, but I also assume the EF-2 rating due to it being out in the hills in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone have any radar images saved from this thing?
