• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I was in Northern Steuben County indiana. Made report to the net control station that I had rotation, and funnel cloud, however I got smart alek remarks from them.

That's not a very well run net by any means (spending 2-3 minutes to repeat the full text of a warning while people are trying to give reports) - however to be honest either you were stating the wrong location or looking off in the distance because there was nothing on radar over the spot you were indicating. Could have been some rotation in something not related to a storm if it was truely over the location you gave.

belive me, the net has its issues.
However, I don't give a dang what the radar was showing. That is the reason that I checked with another chaser that was about 8 miles to my west.
Radar could be right, or it could not be right, But I know what I was seeing was retation, Wall cloud, and several funnels.
Don't try and second guess me unless you were right with me!!!!!

I'm not trying to second guess you - I'm saying that whatever you saw was likely not related to a thunderstorm... There was plenty of rotation in the clouds that day.

JB - I usually can't commit to something south of the border unless I'm sure that MI will not get hit too hard... Plus from north of I-94 til south of Angola it's just "regular" Internet vs high speed so I like to be on one side of that line or the other. Drifted down to FWA for the 5pm round of cells but just torrential rain and some 1/2" hail near Hunterville(?) which I reported to their net.
