• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Thought I would start a now thread with a tornado watch over SC Texas, and a severe thunderstorm watch over SW Texas. Cluster of storms with several tornado warnings, as well as discrete supercells have formed in the past couple of hours.

Wow! What a beast SSW of Del Rio! Lots of nice looking cells within that area of convection!
That one south of Stephenville looks rather impressive as well.
It appears the same areas of deep south Texas keep getting inundated day after day.

Looks like a cell just crossed over to Tx from the Mexican border. I see rotation and Comstock appears to be about to possibly get hit. Hmm...Eagle Pass deja vu!

PS: Granted it doesn't look as strong as the Eagle Pass cell did yet.

Really frustrating sitting here watching our target storm move SSE parallel with the Mexico border. If it keeps this heading, it won't actually move into Texas. It has an awesome hook on radar. This is killing us...urk.

Which one are you on Andrew?

Ok, I think I know the answer to this. That is a nice juicy looking cell. I see why you guys are enamored with it. Looks like that cell has no intention any time soon of crossing over. It may eventually. You might be better off heading after the cell toward Comstock and the other one crossing in behind it nw of Del Rio.

I'd be staying in DRT or maybe moving a little northwest of town for a good view. The Piedras Negras storm looks beautiful but is never getting papers, whereas it looks like there's a chance of new development organizing and coming right at you.

We aren't on anything yet. Our target storm is the one west of Eagle Pass... We dropped S away from the MSC to get into more strongly capped airmass in the hope of getting more isolated convection. Its all going to plan except that its over in Mexico...

We are going to head S in the hope that it goes through a weaker phase and heads more easterly for a while...if it does...we'll be there.

Andrew

Looks like the road south of Eagle Pass loops out more easterly for awhile instead of following the border.

That area down there must feel like you're in the Australian Outback, - very remote. Do you feel there are similarities?

Other storm west of Del Rio appears to have consolidated some in last couple scans and is showing some rotation. Appears it may cross the border somewhere north of Eagle Pass and south of Del Rio.

The cell 35 miles wsw of DRT is interesting but IMO likely to follow the last storm and move enough right to stay in Mexico. However the cell about 15 miles north of DRT is developing some structure and might get a boost from a possible boundary soon. Somewhere northeast of town might be a good play right now, FWIW.

Southern edge of storm that is about to exit Edwards county and move into Kerr county had impressive hook associated with it for a few minutes on radar, has diminshed now. Anyone chasing from Kerrville or that area you might want to stay put...

interesting storms just south and west of Ft. Worth. Keeping an eye on those storms even though it's a long shot for anything organized to form. There is a cell or two trying to develop out in front of the main mess.

Storm rapidly developing in NE Mason county about to move into SW San Saba county looks impressive. There were two brief touchdowns just north of this area yesterday near Rochelle in McCulloch County.

Saved these DFX radar grabs from a few minutes ago. NE Mexico is a happening place these days.
