There is a nice storm that had a persistent meso and TVS moving rapidly to the northeast in southeastern Virginia. It formed ahead of a line of storms in an area of locally backed winds and increased moisture convergence.

tornado reported on the ground headed towards downtown Norfolk. Cape is extremely modest, but 0-1 km SRH around 200 or so and low LCL's are helping.

The storm responsible has moved into the Chesapeake but it had an AMAZING couplet on radar as it pushed through southern Newport News! Are we not supposed to post pics on NOW threads? I had to save a copy of the SRV.
