The day in KS is getting kicked off NW of Dodge City with a pair of cells which one is now Tornado warned. GR2A makes it look like they might be nice looking photo ops even if they aren't producing yet.

Edit: The second cell has now been upgraded from SVR to TORN Warned as well.

Edit: I guess they did produce
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OBSERVED A TORNADO ON THE GROUND 5 MILES NE OF INGALLS.

The tornado that was reported by law enforcement is just SW of Kalvesta.

Enough sitting around. I think I'm going to load up the car and head out. It could be an interesting day!

I sure wish I was on this storm in SW KS that is only moving 5-10 mph.... and has a nice little hook, I was wondering with the NW movement would it be anti cyclonic tornado if it produced again?

Absolutely beautiful, isolated storm on radar with a classic signature. Hopefully, a chaser or two are there. Has to be an impressive tornado given the multiple reports, slow movement, isolation and radar.

The velocity signature appears to be getting junked by ground clutter on GR2. Makes it hard to see the outbounds. Inbounds are fine.

EDIT: Junking gone...impressive G2G shear now showing up on 0.5 and 0.9 degree tilts. Good BWER aloft, too.

Just read on TweetDeck that a house east of Kalvesta, KS was hit by a tornado about 2:20 p.m. Central. Three tornado warning in KS now with the cell due south of Hanston being the most recent warned storm. GR3 from DDC really lighting up fast.

Currently sitting south of the OK Hwy 14 and US Hwy 64 intersection and watching this tornado warned storm. Nothing too exciting...had one attempt with some good motion in the wall cloud...but the RFD has wrapped all the way around and now I think we have an attempt at a cycle. I'm not too hopeful...it's cold outside!

Just got off the phone with Mike O'Keeffe he is reporting a large wall cloud with intense rotation on the cell near Alva.
