I am driving down from wichita ks to okc. I passed through perry ok 1 hr ago and it was 55 deg and a nw wind. i'm in edmond ok now and its 80 degrees and the winds are se at 15-20 mph Looking at the latest RAP it looks like the warm front is still moving northward. I'm setting in N edmond and waiting to see what the storms down by the red river area.

The warm front seems to have been stalled in Edmond for about the last 3 hours. Downtown Edmond is in the 60's and it's around 80 at OK 66 and I35.

If I rememember correctly, NOW discussions take place in forecast now but feel free to delete if incorrect...

I noticed that the cell by Elgin, OK starting at about 0020Z was thunderstorm warned but did not have a torn warn for it. For about ten minutes, I showed a couplet and also a debris ball on my GR2. This passed SE of Elgin and between Elgin, Flethcher, and Sterling, OK. Could never get any chaser tv cams to come up so can't confirm what was seen.

Was my torn warn for that storm late or was my GR2 late to update perhaps?

Ok, the same thing just happened for the storm south of FDR. Late call on that one too I believe. The scans showed couplet and debris ball before the torn warn was out. Busy day I guess. On a side note, the whole cylce of the storm south of FDR has been fun to watch.

David Drummond was right in the hook a few minutes ago when base velocity was showing this...its dark but there was probably a tornado on the ground somewhere in that meso...2013-04-17 19.40.27.jpg

Tornado with debris reported near Bixby Ok. (just outside of Tulsa) Dark and rain wrapped. Think they had dropped the warning for area a bit ago... it's back now, but sure how people are taking cover.
