The storm that produced the tornado in Germantown, is heading towards Jackson. It will be there within the next 45 minutes, strong rotation still going.

Also, a new tornado watch is likely to include Louisville and Cincinnati.

The storm immediately southwest of Oxford,MS has an extremely intense couplet with what is likely a strong tornado on the ground tracking straight into Oxford as we speak!

Edit - Holy crow... I just noticed the couplet on the cell near Sardis. There has got to be a tornado on the ground with that storm, and the wording in the tornado warning from KMEG is very ominous:
(sorry, couldn't get the warning text to copy)
THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG TO VIOLENT TORNADOES!

"Mass damage" has been reported with this cell and calls have gone out for additional emergency responders to head to the Oxford area, according to WMC-TV Memphis.

A new isolated supercell has fired northeast of Pine Bluff, AR and has rapidly gone tornadic with a possible tornado being reported in the vicinity of Sheridan, AR heading towards Roe and Clarendon, AR

The strong tornado that struck Oxford, MS continues to race northeast. Local law enforcement are tracking the tornado and apparently it has caused heavy damage in the vicinty of Bethlehem, MS. The towns of Hickory Flat, Blue Mountain and Ripely, MS are in the direct path of this strong/violent tornado!

EDIT: Storm spotters are currently tracking a 'large and extremely dangerous tornado' in Dancyville, TN, heading for Hillville, Belle Eagle and Holly Grove. This, obviously, is an very dangerous, potentially lethal situation. If the tornado stays on its current path, it will tear through Jackson in less than fifteen minutes!!!

Lets see, 1999(twice), 2003, and maybe 2008. I swear Jackson has a curse. This city knows what to do. The storms near Pine Bluff, AR will head for West Memphis, AR and Memphis again.

The storms near Oxford, Tupelo, and Corinth will continue to intensify and head for Nashville area by 8pm, which is my hometown:eek:

Those two supercells racing across N. Miss and Tennessee are both equally impressive. They are existing in an area characterized by SBCape of just 500j/kg but effective shear is 60kt. The low level shear is just amazing with the winds at 850mb running 60kts out of the SSW with surface winds out of the SSE. Another amazing event with really strong shear coupled with 'seemingly' low cape.

Cell back in EC Arkansas is also very impressive, I don't have GR3 on this PC but I'm guessing it's showing clear signs of being extremely dangerous as well. I sure hope we get out of this with very few fatalities, just a dangerous situation the whole way around tonight :(

EDIT: My feed from WMC seems to have quit...are there any stations that'll be covering the storm heading for Jackson?

Murray, Kentucky looks to be in serious trouble now! Very strong couplet heading straight into Murray.
Just north of there, add Benton, KY to that as well. Possibly two large tornadoes on the ground within 25 miles of each other!

We just got off the phone with friends in Murray. The south side of the town has trees down, signs down, power lines down, also structure on fire.

Tornado Emergency issued for Jackson, TN... +130kt G2G shear. This is the same storm that tracked through Memphis 50 miles ago.

73 knot gust was recorded at Memphis Int'l Airport. Roof damage to the airport fire department, Pinnalce Airlines hangar damaged/destroyed, Boeing 737 ket moved a few feet, air stairs thrown 100yds, and small aircraft thrown around. Any terminal damage is what I wanna know.

A large tornado is heading into Jackson. A Tornado Emergency has been issued for the City of Jackson, I wonder if its an EF-4, like the previous 2 big ones. It's going to hit the northside of town, the side that hasn't been hit in the past few years.

The storm that dropped the 1st round of tornadoes in Mmephis, specifically Arlington and Bartlett, is warned and heading towards Hopkinsville, KY. Many reports of funnel clouds and rapid rotation, along with baseball hail.

you can make out some slight structure with lightning from this webcam in Jackson, TN

http://towercam.uu.edu/view/index.shtml

not sure which direction this faces, but it's at a University in Jackson, TN and It must be in the general direction of West.

I think I can see a tornado with power flashes?!

Edit: Yeah, that's what it looked like - it appeared that a cone was approaching the camera and I saw a powerflash (unless it was lightning) and the lens became obscured. Now I can't get the page to load.
