Cold front moving over the Missouri valley today might have a little kick in it. Skies in central Illinois are very clear and while instability won't get very high, it is projecting higher than originally anticipated leading the spc to issue 5% acrossed most of Illinois and parts of south east Missouri and south east wisconsin.

This looks to be mostly a linear event with the line moving around 30 mph but storm motions closer to 50 as they move up the line. My gut tells
Me there won't be much in the way of discreet cells unless they form farther south and have enough sheer to actually produce anything. I'm not too optimistic but I have a hard time passing on storm systems this week given it may be 3 months till the next chase and it's in my back yard....

Might want to add MI and IN to the list. It looks like the front will be approaching at least the western parts of both states near sunset. Dynamics look good and some meager instability may remain if skies clear out by the afternoon. By the time storms get to eastern MI and or IN, it should be dark and any instability will be gone.
