No damage here in Iowa City. We had some anxious moments, however. I had obligations and was “trapped†5 miles west of Iowa City and as such I didn’t have an opportunity to “chase†and locate just south of town for a view of the meso. My Dad was at the bowling alley next to the airport, which is terrible as a storm shelter (part of the roof blew off several years ago in a severe straight-line wind event), and I called to warn. The heavy precipitation core passed over me west of IC, so my view was obscured for most of duration of the storm except after it rapidly lifted off to the east. A lowering was made visible from the city lights.
