Although nothing too impressive by true storm chasing standards, the PSCZ (Puget Sound Convergence Zone) became very active again late this afternoon, and yes, this time I managed to snap a few photos.
Media reports confirmed nickel-sized hail near Arlington, Everett, north Seattle and the east slopes near I-90. I took these photos on the commute home, looking east towards the Cascades. Beautiful mammatus forming and a georgous sunset. Some intense lightning occurred while passing over Seattle. We lost power at the plant for about 30 minutes.
Again, I know it's not much, but just thought I'd share a few photos of the storms here in the Seattle area this afternoon.
