• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Insane convection going up with the intense daytime heating over much of the central and southern Plains. Very impressive cell just north of OKC, now right on top of Norman! Looks like damaging winds are big threats with these cells, and note the OFBs clearly seen on radar!

Several counties all over the above-mentioned states now SVR T-STM Warned.

Should be some photogenic cells with amazing structure and CG displays!

Who wants to guess how many MCSs we get out of today's Plains action? I can see 4 strong areas of indication that these will quickly evolve into MCS mode...

1. TX and OK panhandles - racing SE into mid Oklahoma overnight
2. NW Texas - initiating near Childress area and racing down to Abilene overnight.
3. Already one ongoing in Arklatex region.
4. Fourth one ongoing (but appears to be weakening) over much of eastern/southeast Missouri.

Widespread flash flooding appears to be a threat to be cautious of during the late evening and overnight hours with these systems.

Is it just me, or does that cell near OUN appear to be taking on a hook appearance?
SRVs showing some big-time winds near Lake Thunderbird currently!
Two individual outflow boundaries now intersecting at the inflow of that lone KTLX cell !!!

Mods, can IL be added to this thread? The storm that went up a couple hours ago over the northern part of the STL area is now TOR-warned in Marion Co., IL. 73 dbz and hail marker in GR-Level3 indicating potential for 3-inch hail, too.

I got a couple pictures of this storm across Dunlap Lake earlier this evening as it passed just north of Edwardsville, producing nickel to quarter hail from Alton through Bethalto:
