[SIZE=-1]The shortwave that is set to menace Illinois and Indiana on the 4th
looks to move into the Ohio Valley by the 5th. The determining factors will of course
be the amount of moisture and instability available to support an organized severe event.

From the SPC Day 4:
A MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR MASS IS FORECAST AHEAD OF THIS FRONT WITH
ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER EPISODES POSSIBLE OVER THE OH VALLEY INTO
THE MIDDLE ATLANTIC STATES

Some shear.

What happened to our long live MCV ?

I would not travel for this event but I live in Ohio so I am paying attention.

Here in athens the clouds have burnt off and we have some heating and serious humidity across much of the state. Ohio action is usually due to a marginal day delivering a surprise so I guess this is one of those marginal days.

Funny thing is. I predict a tornado outside of the SPC 2%tor rather than within the 2%. Meaning Colorado will get some surprise landspouts or Florida will get a few.

We should add MI and other states to this thread. MI looks promising depending on the mysterious effects of lake breeze boundaries and the like.
