07/03/04 NOW: Central Plains

A NOW thread is being posted for the Central Plains this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms have fired up over the Panhandle of NE. Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for SD and ND as well. NWS is currently discussing a SWW for the central NE and SD areas in the next hour or so. Post your storm discussions here. 8)

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF FAR NORTHEAST COLORADO, NORTHWEST KANSAS, WESTERN NEBRASKA, SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA.

EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 330 PM UNTIL 1000 PM MDT.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER, THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH, AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.
