On this day, a squall line came through Middle and Eastern Tennessee producing moderate winds, of up to 65-70 Miles Per Hour. Along with this, in middle Tennessee, hail was produced and reported. In eastern Tennessee where, I happened to hop on to a "backyard chase", I observed heavy downfalls, and a moderatly well structured shelf cloud (arcus deck). The setting sun allowed for a beautiful scene. dBZ topped around 60. The internal precipitation of the shelf cloud was so thick, and foggy. that as the huge bulge of rain was approaching, it looked like just one big white/orange wall of rain.
