Currently sitting in Woodward getting some WiFi. Nothing too extraordinary except for strong SE winds. Hopefully something decides to form in the next hour or so I'm quietly contemplating shifting S and W a bit in the next hour.....

Currently sitting in the middle of nowhere (4 miles west of Timken) on KS-96 and looking at a disorganized piece of poop. P-O-O-P-I-E It is a lowering of some sort; very ragged with several close, intense CGs.

New MD issued for western KS, OK

Edit - We are sitting right next to a church where they're having a wedding in a bit. Just talked to the groom for awhile, lol.

Might go in and get some food....

I've been keeping an eye on SW OK/TX near Childress. Water Vapor imagery is picking up on a few impulses upstream from this area. Cu already on the increase near the Childress area. Latest OUN forecast is slightly encouraging for those of us in the southern plains...
STORMS LIKELY TO INITIATE FARTHER S DOWN THE DRYLINE INTO OR
THROUGH W TX... EVENTUALLY AFFECTING SW OK AND OUR N TX ZONES.
WEAKER FORCING ALOFT AND LESS DEEP-LAYER SHEAR MAY KEEP THE MORE
SOUTHERN STORMS RELATIVELY ISOLATED. THIS ALONG WITH MORE VEERED
UPPER FLOW RAISES CONCERNS THAT STORMS FARTHER S WILL HAVE EQUAL
OR GREATER TORNADIC SUPERCELL POTENTIAL THAN THE ONES FROM N OK
NORTHWARD.

Sitting at a Flying J in Sayer Ok, waiting, and waiting. Thought I was starting to see some CU on satellite imagery but got let down, it was dust on my monitor. Dewpoint is 63 and temp of 83. Sun is still coming through the over cast pretty good. Anyone down this way today?

Just intercepted the Ainsworth, NE supercell. Strong rotation on radar, but we couldn't see it because the visibility was horrendous due to very low clouds.
Breaking south to hopefully intercept storms along dryline.

Sitting here at the Elk City, OK airport. Skies have cleared, with scattered Cu field to the west. Max heating is now occurring, so we're just waiting... and waiting, and waiting, and...

Also sitting in Woodward. Probably will poke a little west soon, as latest MD describes the dryline as retreating a bit west. I was briefly on the Harper Co tail end storm but it did not look impressive so opted to let it go as it headed N into KS.

Looking at the satellite imagery, it looks like the low pressure out in the four corners region is sending an impulse that will initiate activity along the dryline. It will be at least one more hour before something gets going, IMO, more likely closer to two hours. It's hard to be patient, but stuff will develop along the dryline from NE southward into W OK/E TX panhandle.

Still sitting in Sayer, OK. Anyone else see the the little pop on GR3 right by the corner of the Tx, panhandle and Ok, panhandle's meet. Satellite also looks to be showing building CU.

Sorry meant to mention off of the Vance radar site

Woodward here also. Been sitting here an hour, trying not to get tempted out of position. We've been wanting to push back to the s/sw, but decided to play our waiting game out here.

We just got done with a trip to Wal-Mart and are now also waiting.

Seeing some stuff try to go up to our immediate west... There's so much cauliflower around us we need some ranch, or maybe some cheese

Edit - this stuff is finall showing up on radar. Good.
