• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Dear spotters and chasers

OK it is now 2017 and I'm considering getting the WSV3 for the new year. I want to know what you all think about it 2 yrs. later since it hit the market ??????? do you like it ?????? does it update faster then normal radar gr level 3, storm lab, etc. ????????? is it worth the money to get the professional version of it ?????????? what do you think about the product 2 yrs. later. ??????? is it a great product for the money ??????. The floor is yours chasers and spotters lets have ALOT of discussion about this. I really really want to know what you all think of this product 2 yrs. later and did they ever put spotter network on it ???????????????. Lets talk about it now .

As always - since all of these software packages come with a free trial, it's MUCH better to test them all. What works for one chaser won't for others.

I will tell you this... I spent over $300 on another package from that group which pledged to be the best model data viewer ever and had some flashy graphics to convince me to spend that money... And it's useless.

What does WSV3 have that I can't get with GRLevelX products? From what I've seen, it looks to have a fancy/flashy GUI but overall does nothing more than what I can already get out of the GRLevelX products. I could be wrong.

I downloaded the trial when they announced it. It looks cool, but I found it rather clunky in actual operation. I don't know if they've updated it yet, but st the time that I tried it out, they didn't support placefiles for things like roadmaps and goes links. I decided to stick with gr3. Gr is easy to use and it's reliable.

In my experience, WSV3 was not stable, and crashed more often than I can tolerate. The GUI is a bit overblown, and gimicky, and overall a bit clunky.

I'm still using GR3 for my chasing because it just works. It's easy to use, and gives me the information I need quickly, and clearly.

Just my opinion.
