• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

    I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

    For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

    From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

Windows Vista through my eyes

This might sound a bit funny, but what are you guys doing to get Vista crashing? Please give me some advices how to crash it with some "strong" jobs and I'll try and let you know how it goes.:D

I am running it for some time now on my new desktop PC and had exacty ZERO problems with it. Its working perfectly and its stable! Maybe the problem is in configuration, since it requires quite strong machine...but on SATA II RAID motherboard with Intel 2.4GHz Dual Core and 4GBs memory ... there ain't any problems. Ah and its 64bit if this counts.

i have never even seen vista...but it seems like i agree with everyone else here...the key to getting vista to run right is in buying alot of ram...

any computer is going to be sluggish under 1GB, especially computers that run vista and mac os...i have used mac os something on one of those brand new systems, and it was flawless...i would try to crash the computer running all kinds of programs, even high-ram programs like carrara 5, and flash mx...i would have about 20 different "huge" programs running in class, and STILL have itunes never skip a beat...

my home computer cant even run itunes...so its apparently a big RAM issue...when you got 4GB of ram in there, i bet even xp runs nice...

Vista came installed with my new laptop (Inspiron E1505). At first, I also did NOT like it, but I think it was just that I was so used to XP. Robert is right, XP runs just fine, and Microsoft really didn't need an upgrade this soon imho, but Vista really isn't too bad. There are some pros and cons, but all in all Vista and I get along just fine. Photoshop Elements 4.0's help file is disable, but other than that I see no other issues with anytyhing else. The OS actually blazes on my laptop, fastest computer I have ever ran.

Oh, here's an F.Y.I. as well....laptops do NOT like it when a half can of Bud Light is accidentally dumped into its keyboard. It's in the "shop" now.
