I`m gonna take a stab at it and I`m sure if I`m wrong someone will correct me...lol

I`m gonna say being how we were running the front edge of this cell I`m gonna have to go with Roll Cloud`s because we were right in the front edge of the cold front. If you remember, we would stop and the front would catch up with us then we would move again.

I dont know if you saw my report on TVN from yesterday but, We got to go play again last night ;)

yeah it probably is a roll cloud, but dang it was awfully small, most roll cloud pics I googled, where pretty stretched out. but oh well I give up, i'll just call it one cool looking cloud!!! :D

darn it...you lucky dog. I'm outta luck until August, school starts up Monday, and I gotta hit them books for 9 weeks. :(

gots to get that education so I can have a better future than I've had the last 10 years.

That sounds kind of like a little feature I saw on a storm July 9th, 2007 in CNY. I was out minding my own business when the storm suddenly arrived and sent me for cover. I remembered to bring a portable weather radio with me that day since the forecast called for stormy weather and I was going to be outside all day. The storm was severe warned at the time with hail reported.

All I had with me was a lousy pocket camera. I took this on the run and used ENHANCEâ„¢ so mind the quality:

It looks like a small funnel but it curves back up into the clouds. What was this?

There was also this ominous looking thing that went overhead shortly before I snapped the previous picture:

But I don't feel qualified to attempt to identify either of these features.

I have some really crappy video of a cloud to cloud rotation from about 6 years ago---it was like a tornado, between two different parts of the storm. It's one of the wildest things I've ever seen. Thing was spinning like crazy, and then just dicipated.

*off to hunt for that video*
