Finally, after 11 months, all the hard work is over.

WeatherStudio

(NOTE: Please run as admin if possible)

Due to time constraints, the program isn't 'all inclusive' like I had originally intended, although it's got pretty much everything I was hoping for save Level-II 3D slices/volumization, better GPS support, and model forecast integration. Stay tuned for V2.0 for that stuff.

I'd love to hear everybody's feedback. If you encounter a bug, please also report that to me. (There's a easy, automated system in there).
Keep in mind I've only tested this on about three computers.

Thats all for now!

P.S. Here's a little feature I put in just for the Stormtrack.org members. Open up the Radars (press R) and then press M to toggle distance measuring. Pretty useful to find the closest radar, huh?

That's pretty cool, Paul. It installed and ran good, I'll play with it more.

I installed it Paul and it works good...one thing is when my screen saver comes on, the map goes blank and I have to restart the program. But over all I do like it.

Yes, I know exactly why this happens. I'll be looking into it.

I have a specific question for people: are the radar loops working correctly? A nice feature is that you can download the last 30-50 frames off a radar and loop without having to wait for them to come in, but for technical reasons I was concerned about this feature on other computers. Any problems with that?

Paul,
installed it and have had nothing but trouble with it. First, the screen on the left just flickers at me and won't let me select anything. I can highlight them I think (kinda hard to tell with it flickering like that)
Second, it will not let me use the zoom function. I tried but it just stays where it is at.
Third, I see no change in the LAT./LON while scrolling the mouse...I am assuming that this is one of the features since I see the lot/long while hoovering on the screen???

Just FWI, computer is:
Dell Optiplex 730, Intel Pentium Dual with 2.8 gig processor and 4 gig ram. Windows XP Pro service pack 3

I installed and ran as admin if that makes a difference.

Might be an interesting program if those issues could be addressed/fixed. I currently use StormLab 4.0 and GR3 on all the laptops used for the tours. I also have the same on both desktops. On that note, I have a few questions.....
providing those issues are addressed correctly, for $99.00 how many license would I get?
The reason for asking is that with owning the tour company, I sometimes have 2 or 3 tours going at one time and all vehicles are outfitted with either StormLab or GR3...obviously I would need more than 1 license.

I'm running your trial edition and I have only one problem. The clickable menu and legend flash/flicker. I can still click everything however.

Mine won't complete the processing phase when loading the hurricane tracking stuff.

Somebody else reported this. Just keep your mouse hovering over the layer button and it will work. How strange is that?

I'll work on a fix.

It's still not working on some products....I'm running an Inspiron 1501 with 2GB of RAM. The active storms is working now, but the rest of the products are still giving me problems.

Paul,

There are currently warnings in effect, yet in the Active Weather Alerts it's saying (no active alerts). I assumed this is where warnings would show that you could click on for details, if not what is that box for?

That box is advisories for the home location; sorry for the confusion.

If you want to see storm-based warnings, turn on the 'Watches & Warnings -> Severe Weather Warnings' layer.

If you want to see county-based advisories, turn on the Watches & Warnings -> National Weather Advisories' layer. Click the blue arrow to create filters for only special types of advisories.

None of the Tropical weather stuff works. And it crashes every couple of minutes on my Windows 7 machine.

I am having the same issues on Vista. You may want to extend the trial till you get the bugs worked out. Looks like an interesting app but too buggy to test at this point at least for me.
